Guided Meditation: Compose the Next Movement – Chapter 15

Find a position that allows your body to feel supported.

Let your spine rise naturally, not stiff, not collapsed, just aligned.

Close your eyes or soften your gaze.

Take a slow breath in through your nose.

Let it fill the body without effort.

Exhale gently, as if setting something down.

Again, inhale, receiving.

Exhale, releasing.

Now bring your attention to the rhythm of your breathing. Notice that it already knows its own tempo. You do not have to manage it. You only have to listen.

Imagine your life as music moving through time. Not a single song, but a composition with many movements, some bold, some quiet, some still unfolding.

There is no rush to hear the whole piece. In this moment, you are only listening for what is sounding now.

Ask yourself, without pressure. What is the dominant note in my life right now?

There is no right answer.

Whatever arises belongs.

Notice how it feels in the body. Let it be acknowledged without judgment.

Now imagine yourself holding the score of your life.

Not finished. Not fixed.

Open to the page you are standing on.

Feel the steadiness in your hands.

This is not performance. This is authorship.

Feel the direction your heart wants to move. A next measure, a melody emerging.

Ask quietly; what quality do I choose to compose into the next movement of my life?

Perhaps clarity.

Perhaps courage.

Perhaps ease.

Perhaps trust.

Let one word emerge.

Hold it gently.

With your next inhale, imagine that quality entering your body.

Let it settle where it is most needed.

With your next exhale, imagine committing to it, sincerely. Feel its frequency. Let it vibrate.

Feel the difference between effort and intention. You are not forcing the music. You are choosing the key.

Now notice what you’re ready to release.

A pattern that has completed itself. A tempo that no longer fits.

A silence that was once necessary but no longer required.

Set it down, gently, quietly.

Take a breath in.

As you exhale, imagine turning the page.

Feel the authority in that single act.

You do not need permission to continue.

You do not need certainty to begin.

The next note reveals itself by being played. Trust the process. The divine mind of the universe will sound the next note. You can hear it.

Let this knowing settle: I am the composer of my life.

I move forward with intention.

I trust my listening.

I shape what comes next.

I write each note with intention.

Stay here for a few breaths, Letting the words become felt experience rather than thought.

When you are ready, bring awareness back to the room.

Feel the support beneath you.

Notice the steadiness of your breath.

As you open your eyes, carry this with you. The music is not behind you.

It is not ahead of you.

It is moving through you, now.

You are ready for the next movement.
